Google Optimization Services Your Company Needs
After many website consultations with clients, I see that most are literally throwing away search discovery through weak Google optimization services. BrandWranglers.Com have written many proposals and decided to extract these common points as an outline.
The BrandWranglers.Com approach lets business owners fully optimize the assets they have for Google search, the target being an improved brand and new business sourcing. You know that you would like to grow your business but are not as yet convinced that SEO has any part of that. Well you’re right, SEO is not everything. However, like having four tires on your car instead of three, good SEO is one of the techniques every business must employ.
A. On-Page Google Optimization Tips
BrandWranglers.Com. a professional Google optimization company, uses this procedure:
1. Keyword research starting with what you have done to date
2. Keyword campaigns driving traffic to landing pages – you pick out at minimum 5 key services you want to be found for and we create a campaign and matching landing page to capture that traffic. 15 is a more suitable number, please see our SEO Intro Special.
3. Add/rename the tabs where possible to be keyword specific – “Home” “Services” “About us” etc. are not terms people search on when they need your services. You need to think like your customers – what will they type into that search box?
4. Rename page URLs to be keyword focused
5. Placement of keywords in page tags of existing and new pages. Our friend and SEO Guru Jason McDonald of the JM Internet Group uses a poker analogy to describe page tags that is quite memorable:
ACE
Domain name – best if keyword focused but stick with what you have if it is mature.
KING
Page Title – keyword focused, different one for every page
QUEEN
Page Description – different one for every page and keyword focused
Don’t forget it is the TITLE and DESCRIPTON that show up in search results. Those have to work together, be relevant to search intent and readable, with a call to click.
JACK
h1 tags and PAGE URLs – many sites are missing these altogether, or not using keywords so not effective
10
h2 tags – currently not using keywords so not effective; most sites need more body copy that is keyword focused; most sites need more landing pages
9,8
h3 tags – often non existent or weak; image alt tags and href title tags
7
Internal linking – body copy linked to other site pages with meaningful keywords in href text and title attributes. Also consider adding a blog under a separate tab, something that will be fresh every week and available for promotion engines
Next Google Website Optimization Steps
If we agree to do this work, BrandWranglers.Com will check rank on the keyword campaigns we select before we make any changes. Will do this again 2 weeks and 4 weeks after re-launch so we can see what changes.
Everybody wants to know: When will my Google rankings and traffic get better? For some keywords, movement might be seen in 2 weeks; for really competitive niches it could take upwards of 3 months. The important thing to know that with organic (unpaid) SEO, there is a keyword land rush underway and it’s a winner-take-all proposition. The sooner you start the better your chances of claiming a keyword niche and thereby defining your Internet brand in a visible way. Search engine marketing is understandable but there are many steps which are time consuming.
That’s mostly it for on-page work. There are lots of ins and outs which BrandWranglers.Com can discuss with you.
B. Effective Use of Inbound Links for Google Optimization
If you already have inbound links you have a valuable website optimization resource but most site owners do not know how to use these effectively. The link text in your client sites might all say “My Company Name” and link to your top page, www.myCompanyName.com. The way to get power out of this is to work with your clients to get meaningful keywords placed in the anchor text (and href title attributes), and link to specific landing pages. This will then be in synch with the keyword campaigns we create together. This will turbocharge that existing resource and get you ranked higher in search for terms that are meaningful to your business.
If you do not have any inbound links I can work with you on acquiring some but be clear that it is a time-consuming lifelong business activity that has to become part of the DNA of how you work your business. I can teach your people how to do that so you won’t have to pay for it constantly.
C. Google Optimization Promotions
It is very important to add fresh content to the site at least weekly (news, opinion, etc) and this is something you can do through adding a blog. Then, press releases of new blog items are very effective and important and there are tools such as PRWeb, PR NewsWire and Pitch Engine that blast press releases. PitchEngine for example is $40 a month and you can send as many as you want. I’d recommend 1 or 2 a week for about three months as a minimum once you relaunch. This creates backlinks as well as traffic. This I can teach you how to do or will do for you at my hourly rate.
My emphasis at first is to make your site visible to searchers via SEO Optimization, following the keyword campaigns we determine together. Along with that will be my trained-in user experience thinking and motivational copywriting from my work since 1995 with companies like Netscape, Sun Microsystems, ETEK Dynamics, American Express, US Airways, Cisco Systems, and various Silicon Valley startups as to how pages work and what copy belongs there – readable and compelling for humans and keyword focused for the search engines.
